I came to Sam as I was having issues with often needing to go to the toilet whilst running. Sam expertly examined my diet and discussed the possible causes which turned out to be too much fibre in my diet. He recommended a low fibre diet to try and introduced me to Symprove. All of these steps led to a significant improvement but most importantly giving me a greater understanding of how to manage and control my diet. After this we discussed fuelling for half marathon training and in the week leading up to an event. As a result my confidence has risen and I achieved a PB in the Bideford Half Marathon knocking off 4 minutes and 3 seconds for a time of 1-34-40. Sam is a great specialist and coach.
Sam gave me advice for marathon fuelling. Both in the carb loading days before and a strategy for the day itself. And I’m pleased to say it couldn’t have gone better, historically I’ve always faded in marathons, but thanks to Sam’s advice I produced negative split including a faster final 10k which felt incredible. On top of Sam’s excellent knowledge and advice he was a pleasure to speak with on all occasions. Thank you!

The great thing about Sam is his ability to explain things in a clear and simple way. He advised my fellow paddler and I about the best way to feed ourselves during our 4 day 125 mile Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race in 2021. Because of Sam, our diet changed hugely in preparation for, during and after the race. We were able to conserve our energy better and recover more quickly.

Sam has supported me with completing my first 100km ultramarathon. I was given guidance on what to eat and drink throughout the event, both quantities and timing, to ensure I could complete the event to the best of my ability. I would really recommend him to anyone looking for complete an event at whatever standard. We can all benefit from nutrition advice!

Sam provided me with a nutrition plan for my Iron Man 70.5, giving me clear and comprehensive directions for both training and race day. The plan was well structured and concise, meaning I was relaxed and knew exactly what to do during the race. A massive help!
